What Participants Are Saying
Ortwin and Heike are truly exceptional teachers — I loved every moment of the seminar.
Coming from a Tibetan Buddhist background, I found Wu Ji Quan — taught the way Ortwin teaches it — to be a genuine deepening of my own practice in kindness and emptiness.
Thank you, Ortwin and the whole team. Learning the form in this slower, more deliberate way was a completely new experience — and it felt wonderful. I’ll keep practicing.
Attending this course in Darmstadt was a truly wonderful experience, especially as a beginner. Every movement was carefully explained and demonstrated, and Ortwin and Heike gave each participant their full attention and encouragement. Ortwin’s explanations of the science behind the movements were fascinating, and Heike’s own journey was inspiring proof that consistency pays off. Above all, the warm, supportive atmosphere made it easy to open up and ask questions. A heartfelt thank you to you both for such an enriching time.
A pleasant, relaxed learning atmosphere with clear, step-by-step instruction. The instructors combine deep knowledge with a real gift for showing things clearly and letting participants experience them for themselves. Very nice!
A wonderful workshop — I felt completely at ease and learned so much, both physically and mentally. The teaching was clear, calm, and motivating. I’m taking many new impulses home with me and already looking forward to seeing everyone again.
A fantastic introduction to Wu Ji Quan — thank you so much. I loved so much about both Wu Ji in general and this seminar that I’ve already been telling everyone I know.
This was my second Wu Ji foundations workshop with Dr. Ortwin Lüers, and it was amazing to see how much deeper you can still go. Learning the form is one thing — bringing it to life is another — and these workshops are perfectly designed to do exactly that. I’d highly recommend it to anyone interested in this art.
Learning new movement sequences doesn’t usually come easily to me, but this weekend showed me it’s possible when the approach to teaching changes. Breaking things down step by step, working in the group and with a partner, paired with real relaxation and thorough explanation, made all the difference. The material was beautifully structured, and it really opened my awareness to the flow of energy and my own sensations. Heartfelt thanks to Ortwin and Heike for sharing this knowledge with such care.
I’m so glad I got to join the Berlin workshop again. I found answers to questions I’d been carrying, went deeper into the forms and partner work, and met so many interesting people — familiar faces and new ones alike. I just hope this story keeps unfolding naturally.
Super seminar, lovely people, great training — hope to see you again in 2027!
The material was taught with such care and detail, with plenty of time to really practice. I could feel the essence of each movement — my body felt lighter, and the qi flowed more freely.
Authentic teaching and guidance.
Having trained through the online course first, attending the workshop in Berlin let me go so much deeper into the art — refining details I’d missed and truly feeling the internal concepts through partner work and hands-on correction with Dr. Ortwin and his instructors. The knowledge is shared so generously, in a warm atmosphere with lovely people.
Each practice on its own would have been reason enough to come. Experiencing four different practices in a single workshop, with these teachers, was a truly rare experience. The instruction was thorough, the content rich and deep, and the guidance and support exceptional.
Practising Wu Ji Quan with Dr. Ortwin is an incredibly interesting experience that leads to a deeper understanding of one’s own nature. I appreciate his professionalism — his knowledge and teaching method — but above all his patience, inner calm, and insight. He teaches us to remain active, mindful observers of the natural flow of energy, and to follow it. This practice is a journey into the depths of oneself — it is the path of Qi Dao. Special thanks also to his assistant Heike, a reliable guide and true source of support throughout the practice.
Wu Ji Quan practice is, for me, the best form of moving meditation and a way to delve into and understand my own energy. It’s a fascinating, unique experience that I’m already looking forward to repeating. Ortwin’s guidance, together with his wonderful assistant Heike, allows for a truly profound immersion into the art and form of Wu Ji Quan.
