Dr. Ortwin Lüers is a Berlin-based medical doctor, psychiatrist and psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and chronic stress disorders in both clinical and outpatient settings. His professional expertise is deeply enriched by decades of study and practice in Eastern martial arts, meditation, and Buddhism—a passion that began in his early youth.

Since the 1980s, Dr. Lüers has immersed himself in the intensive study and practice of Buddhism and the internal martial arts. In 1985, he first encountered a Western student of Grandmaster Chee Kim Thong introducing him to the inner styles of the Southern Shaolin tradition, including Wu Ji Quan, Luohan Gong, several Nei Gong systems like the medical 12 step Qi Gong. His focus has always been more on the internal, energetic and healing aspects of these arts.

In 1990, Dr. Lüers met Grandmaster Chee in person and was honored with discipleship. For over a decade, until Grandmaster Chee’s passing in 2001, he trained intensively under the master’s direct guidance, alongside a small group of German and Swiss practitioners. This students had been the last group taught by Master Chee in person. This rare opportunity allowed Ortwin to deepen his understanding of the art’s healing, martial, and spiritual dimensions.

Dr. Lüers is co-founder and second Chairman of the Shaolin Wu-Chi-Chuan & Wu-Chu e.V. association in Germany. With over 35 years of practice and teaching experience, he has developed his own training methodology, -the Wu Ji Dao training method- which bridges traditional energetic concepts with modern neuroscience in group and individual settings. His approach makes the internal power and benefits of these forms accessible to everyone, regardless of prior experience.
